Brut Deluxe is an architecture and design studio headed by the German architect Ben Busche (Munich, 1968). Brut Deluxe focuses on researching and creating space and its atmospheric quality, with projects covering the full range of scales of urban intervention: from ephemeral installations to industrial design, building and urban development.
Ben Busche created environmental sensations like mist, snow, humidity in order to produce in the passers-by intense sensations that evoke to us emotions, only with light.
The lighting motifs are suspended in vertical at random heights and distances from metal cables crossed in diagonal over the street creating a dense and altering atmospheric sensation.
The lighting motif is conceived to decorate street lanterns or interiors. In this case it can be combined with the street motifs.
The tree is decorated with scale like mounted coloured acrylic glass. The day and night images therefore change in a chameleonic and surprising way.
Brut Deluxe has carried out major lighting installations in London, Lisbon, Malaga, Madrid and other cities. The studio’s work has been widely published in International architecture and design journals, exhibiting internationally and winning awards (Architectural Review Awards for Emerging Architecture 08, Outros Mercadus Award 2008)
