Amaya Arzuaga has fashion in her genes, because she belongs to a family of designers. In 1994 she launched her first collection onto the market. Since then her designs have been on sale all over the world, with collections shown at the Gaudí, Cibeles, London, Milan and Paris fashion shows.
The fashion designer Amaya Arzuaga proposes with «the message is the medium» an illumination whose central element is the written word: the motif of Christmas is conceptualized through carols whose songs are alternated in two phases of lighting, and by words or onomatopoeia that Symbolize the winter festival.
Each motif is lightened in two phases with an alternation of approximately 10 seconds depending on the width of the street and the length of the text.
The lighting motifs are conceived to decorate street lanterns or interiors. The choice of words can be extended.
The tree is formed of six identically planes covered with coloured acrylic glass. Each acrylic plate is lightened from the interior by a LED stripe that borders the perimet.
This designer’s rise has exceeded all expectations. Her collections are regularly presented at such international shows as Atmosphere (Paris) and Fashion Cotterie (New York). In May 2005, King Juan Carlos I and Car – men Calvo awarded her the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. Other awards that she has won include Telva, Elle, Woman, Empresaria Joven con Expansión, Arte de Vivir, First Cibeles Prize, etc.
