A Magical Project Designed For Malaga City

The Christmas lights of Málaga are famous, and rightly so. Starting on the first Saturday in December every evening, Calle Marqués de Larios, the main pedestrian shopping street, is crowded with people enjoying the spectacular Christmas lights.

ILMEX Illumination by Ximenez Group provided more than 4.000.000 LEDs to announce Christmas in the streets of the city which serve as a claim to encourage commercial life.

The project was set up by 18 arches made of aluminum structure that start from the ground, branched up to 9 meters in height, with a minimum consumption. Meanwhile, the new Christmas tree reached 17-meter-high at the Constitution Square.

This year’s illuminations have been put up around the shopping streets of the town. The most spectacular display was Calle Marqués de Larios, Plaza de la Constitución, and the Alameda Principal.

But many of the surrounding streets had a more display of lights installed by Ximenez Group too, so you could have quite a wander around and see them all.

As in previous years, the lights use LED technology to reduce the display’s electricity consumption and hence keep its CO2 emissions as low as possible.
