Fairs that shine thanks to Ximenez Group

7 July 2025

Numerous fairground lights continue to be lit this season thanks to the work of the Ximenez Group and its subsidiary Ilmex, among others

With the arrival of spring, the celebrations of the popular fairs and festivals in the towns and cities of our land begin and continue throughout the summer.

Many of these towns and cities will be filled with light and colour thanks to the traditional fair lighting, mostly designed and installed by Ximenez Group.

The light that announces the fair

Fairs are celebrations deeply rooted in Andalusian identity and culture. Over time, Ximenez Group has established itself as the leading company in artistic and decorative lighting, and in particular in fair lighting, making light an essential part of these festivities and a key element that cannot be missing during these celebrations.

The importance of the lighting is due to the fact that one of the most eagerly awaited moments in any fair is the switching on of the lights. This countdown that brings together neighbours and visitors is much more than a symbolic gesture: it is the starting signal for days of music, gastronomy, meetings and celebration. Since its beginnings, Ximenez Group has known how to interpret the importance of this moment, designing covers and lighting that are perfectly integrated into the festive spirit of each locality.

Historic fairs illuminated by Ximenez Group

Every fair has its own essence and history. Lighting not only decorates, but also helps to create an identity. Over the years, Ximenez Group has been present at many of the most renowned fairs in Spain, participating in the design and installation of the lighting and their characteristic covers.

Among the most outstanding fairs that shine thanks to Ximenez Group are the best known in Andalusia such as the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud in Cordoba, which has the largest fair cover in Andalusia that is designed, manufactured and installed by Ximenez Group. Its spectacular lighting and design pays homage to one of the city’s most important and renowned buildings: its Mezquita-Catedral.

Another important fair is the Feria del Caballo de Jerez de la Frontera, one of the most representative in Andalusia. Here, we illuminate with arches and porticoes inspired by Jerez culture, which this year have been renovated as a sign of our commitment to sustainability and the environment.

It is also worth mentioning the Feria de agosto in Malaga, where we have been working for many years offering an exclusive lighting for both the day and night fairs with typical motifs of the city.

At Ximenez Group and Ilmex we continue to work with dedication to design lighting that reflects the culture and traditions of each city. Our aim is that each town is represented in its festive lighting and continues to place its trust in a brand that has been illuminating the fairs of Andalusia for 80 years.

We continue to illuminate the fairs of our land

Once the Christmas celebrations are over, at Ximenez Group we start with the design, manufacture and installation of the fair lighting. These begin to be set up with the arrival of spring and continue until October, with the celebration of the last fairs of the year.

Throughout our history, we have established ourselves as a benchmark in artistic and decorative lighting. Although our history began with the installation of Christmas lights, it was thanks to the fair lighting that we expanded our presence throughout Andalusia.

Thanks to our creativity, respect for tradition and commitment to innovation, we have already illuminated more than 70 fairs in our country.
