The festival of light in Geneva

Collaboration with
Ben Busche

With the guidance of german architect Ben Busche, Ilmex took part in the Geneva Light Festival held in 2015, thanks to the LUX.LGE project. This Project consisted of 48 lamps, each standing at 4 meters in height, featuring various colorful and elegant motifs distributed along a street, seemingly in a random fasion, with each lamp being unique in design.

The primary goal of this installation was to create a distinctive atmosphere that could alter our perception of space. It aimed to foster deeply personal experience that influenced how humans integrated into and moved through a space. According to the designer, this Project Drew inspiration from images from our personal memory, abstractly recreated to craft an environment capable of evoking memories and experiences solely through lighting.

Game of lights and colours.

This grand structure also provided a unique experience for those who visited it, as it was accesible, allowing observes to witness its operation and its spectacular interplay of lights and colors from the inside.
