The new tool from Ximenez Group, launched in May 2025, allows the impact of decorative lighting to be measured
Artistic and decorative lighting not only decorates urban spaces, but also transforms the spaces in which it is installed, boosts the local economy and creates unique experiences for visitors.
The growing importance of festive lighting, especially at Christmas, due to its significant impact on tourism and the economy in cities, has prompted Ximenez Group to create a tool capable of measuring its economic impact.
How does Ximenez Xmart Analytics work?
The new tool allows administrations and clients who have events and areas that can be measured to analyse the data according to their needs. It allows customised studies to be carried out to determine the impact of the lights and how they affect the different study areas that have been previously defined by the council.
The aim of Ximenez Xmart Analytics is not only to help public entities quantify the investment in festive decorative lighting installed in their cities, but also to enable any company or entity to use this tool to assess, analyse and measure the impact of the event and the area to be studied, both in terms of visitor numbers and spending, as well as the impact generated in the media.
What is Ximenez Xmart Analytics used for?
Ximenez Xmart Analytics is an advanced technological tool designed to measure the economic return and visitor flow in cities that use festive decorative lighting as a driver for tourism and economic revitalisation. However, its application goes beyond lighting, as it allows the impact of investment in any type of event or initiative to be analysed, precisely defining the geographical area to be studied.
Thanks to this solution, local councils, institutions and private entities can access objective and measurable data to support their strategic decisions, especially with regard to the planning and optimisation of resources allocated to public events, with the aim of maximising the positive impact on their territory, both economically and socially.
In this way, the investment that local councils allocate to festive lighting can be translated into a quantifiable return thanks to Ximenez Xmart Analytics. This tool allows the real impact of these installations to be accurately measured in the cities or areas where they are implemented, providing key data such as the average spend per day, the number of visitors per day and time slot, the duration of the visit, as well as the origin of the visitors and the destinations they frequent after their stay.
All this information allows administrations to evaluate the economic and social impact of their investment, optimise resources and plan future actions based on objective and verifiable data.
With Ximenez Xmart Analytics, companies and organisations can understand the true scope of their events, measuring national and international visitor numbers and adapting their marketing campaigns to specific audiences according to age, gender and place of origin.
Presentation of Ximenez Xmart Analytics
The Ximenez Group’s new smart tool was unveiled during the company’s participation in the LI National Lighting Symposium, organised by the Spanish Lighting Committee (CEI), with a presentation by Francisco Jaén, Corporate Director of Operations at the Ximenez Group, which attracted great interest among attendees.
In addition, it has already been used to measure the impact of Christmas 2024 in cities such as Cádiz and Huelva, where the Christmas lighting bears the stamp of Ximenez Group and its subsidiary Ilmex.
